Vikings for SAGA, point 2: Berserkers

Yesterday I realized it was exactly one year ago I started this blog. It's been really nice to see it slowly grow through the year and had good fun making new virtual friends with as one of the highlights a game with Blogosphere celebs Ray and Fran during my holiday in Kent.
Time for the hobby is a bit limited for me the next months but I will try to keep up the one post a week schedule. And I will keep them shorter :-)

Berserkers: two from Artizan, one Crusader and one unknown (Gripping Beast?)

My flesh recipe for the Berserkers:
Vallejo red leather basecoat. Highlighted Foundry expert Flesh B to E

  2. Mike, those look absolutely great. Flesh is so hard to pull off, but they look brilliant. Is that a shield transfer, or was that freehand on the shield design?

  5. Superb! Makes me want to rush out and start a new era, brilliant. The colour palette for the striped trousers is sublime. Funnily enough I've recently started using Vallejo red leather as a base followed by foundry highlights and been really pleased with the results. I tend to cover the hands completely and then highlight on top. I just flet it was more subtle than the black I had showing through before.

  10. Very nicely painted minis! Berserkers are realy do or die troops i SAGA, but with some battleboard combinations its possible to get them to survive first contact:)

    Best regards dalauppror
